Throwing the Perfect Bachelorette Party

One of the most fun things about a wedding is the events ahead of it – and that includes the bachelorette party! It’s a great reason to bring all the bride’s besties together for some group fun. For years, Birkat Elyon has had a hand in the wedding business with its collection of gorgeous cubic zirconia wedding and engagement rings, so we offer a few tips on planning the perfect bachelorette party.

Traditionally, the maid of honor is in charge, but there’s no reason a small group of friends can’t plan it. Start by considering what kind of party you want: a weekend destination or a single-day event. A destination party will require additional levels of planning (details coming up).

Pick a theme. This makes planning activities, food, and décor a lot easier. Next, determine how many guests you’ll have, as that will impact your location.

When picking a destination location, consider a few things. What kind of climate do you want? Would guests prefer outdoor activities like hiking or more urban-flavored ones like fancy restaurants? Also, take into account the time of year and related travel costs.

Now, choose a date – preferably two to four options that work best for the bride. Give yourself at least six months in advance for the party in order to get the best rates for travel and accommodations.

When it comes to accommodations, experts suggest renting a house for large groups. It’s more affordable and allows for a comfortable “group hang” environment. However, if you plan a hotel stay, book at least one suite which will serve as an informal communal space to share a drink or some laughs.

Plan some group meals. To keep it simple, ask the restaurant to arrange a limited menu that includes a set number of drinks. If your guests want to order on their own, announce at the start of the meal that the bill will be split evenly.

Finally, confirm attendance. Four months ahead of the party, reach out to attendees with estimated costs for the event, so that they can make their final decision.

Now, the only thing left to do is to kick back and enjoy the best bachelorette party ever!
