FAQs
1. What is Cubic Zirconia?
Cubic Zirconia (CZ) is a manmade mineral invented in Russia in the 1970s as a replacement for diamonds used in laser technology. When the inventors saw how much fine-quality CZ looks like diamond, it opened a new market for jewelry. Click here to learn more.
2. Do Cubic Zirconia Have Different Types of Quality?
Yes. Just like any other manmade product, there is good quality and poor quality CZ. Birkat Elyon uses only the original Russian formula, with a 99.99% purity level. Click here to learn more. Of the five grades of CZ available—A being the lowest and AAAAA the highest—Birkat Elyon uses stones that surpass the industry standards for AAAAA.
3. Can People Tell the Difference Between Birkat Elyon CZ and Diamond?
Not without sophisticated testing equipment. No one but an expert jeweler or gemologist can tell you’re not wearing real diamonds.
4. Why Would I Want CZ Instead of Real Diamond?
For security and affordability. Our typical ring price is around $700, while a diamond equivalent ring might cost $40,000 or more. Even people who own costly diamond jewelry often prefer ours for travel or other security reasons. CZ also provides an excellent alternative for those who are concerned about the environmental and social costs of diamond mining.
5. Do Birkat Elyon Prices Ever Change?
Because precious metal prices can increase without warning our prices are subject to change, but you will only be charged what was listed for your piece on the day of purchase.

16.How Do I Care for Birkat Elyon CZ Jewelry?
Always take your jewelry off before you swim, shower, do housework, or apply hair products, lotions, soaps, and perfume. Store your jewelry pieces separately to avoid scratching each other. Cleaning is quite easy: For best results we recommend using a home ultrasonic machine and the cleaning solution that comes with it. (Here’s one we recommend.) The other option is to soak in lukewarm soapy water or rubbing alcohol for about 20 minutes, then gently use a small, soft toothbrush to clean off any residue. Always rinse you jewelry well and gently pat dry with a lint-free towel to bring out the shine.
(Please note that Birkat Elyon simulated pearls and simulated emeralds should neither be soaked nor put in an ultrasonic machine. Both should ONLY be wiped gently with a dampened soft cloth.) We also suggest you give your Birkat Elyon jewelry periodic professional maintenance.
17. How Do I Measure my Finger Size?
Measuring finger size accurately is hard to do at home. BIRKAT ELYON recommends you go to a jewelry store and let a professional measure you for a perfect fit.
18. How Do I Measure My Wrist for a Bracelet?
The standard length for a bracelet is 7 inches, but sometimes longer or shorter bracelets are needed. To achieve a perfect fit, you'll want your bracelet about one-half inch longer than your wrist measurement. Here is how to measure your wrist for the correct bracelet size:
(1) Use a flexible tape measure or string to gauge the circumference of your wrist at your wrist bone.
(2) Write down the wrist measurement. (For example, 7 inches.)
(3) Add one-half inch to the measurement. (In this case, 7 + .50 = 7 .5 inches)
This tells you the exact bracelet length you will need.
