Here are some tips to help you fully enjoy your celebration.
So many details have gone into planning your wedding, that it’s easy to freak out over whether or not it will all come together. The solution to that is to have a solid plan in place, especially for contingencies like weather. A wedding planner can be a godsend, but if you’re the DIY type, make sure you’ve got a plan in place for all your vendors. It also helps to outsource some of the responsibilities to your wedding party on the day of the event, as in answering guests’ questions about where to leave wedding gifts or coordinating rides to the reception. Some couples hire a coordinator, just for the day, who interacts with vendors on site to take that off your plate. The point is, that being as organized as possible beforehand will alleviate some nerves.
The night before, skip the partying in favor of a good night’s sleep. On the day of your wedding, you may not feel like it, but it’s important to eat some breakfast; you need the nutrition to get through what’s sure to be a fast-paced morning. Also, don’t skip a little exercise. Even just doing a few quick yoga poses or going for a walk will burn off some jitters.
As the day goes on and the activity level cranks up, remember to focus on your partner to get back to your center. After all, he/she is the reason for the whole thing. Putting your attention on them will lessen your anxiety so you can be fully present and enjoy the celebration!
