One of the first things you\u2019ll notice after you become engaged is just how much time you spend at the post office. From wedding invitations to thank-you notes, there\u2019s always One More Thing to drop in the mailbox. Birkat Elyon<\/a> has been working with couples for years, providing them with high-quality cubic zirconia engagement and wedding rings<\/a>. Here\u2019s a handy list of \u201cwhen\u201d to send \u201cwhat.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAVE-THE-DATES<\/strong>: The rule of thumb is four to six months before the wedding. If you\u2019re planning a destination wedding, get them out even earlier, since guests will need extra time to make travel arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WEDDING INVITATIONS<\/strong>: These go out six to eight weeks before the Big Day. Note that RSVPs should be due about a month before. If you\u2019re expecting international guests, their invitations can be sent at the same time as everyone else\u2019s \u2013 but email or call them to let them know. This will give them needed time to book hotels and travel plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BRIDAL SHOWER PARTY INVITATION<\/strong>: These should go out six to eight weeks before. Make sure the RSVPs go to the person organizing the bash in order to keep it all in one place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BACHELORETTE PARTY INVITATION<\/strong>: Send them a month before the party, but an email or call is perfectly OK, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

REHEARSAL DINNER INVITATION: <\/strong>These usually go to wedding party members and close family members, but it\u2019s nice to invite out-of-town guests as a thank-you for making the journey. Send them three to six weeks in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THANK-YOUS<\/strong>: Between all wedding-related events, you\u2019ll be sending these out all the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For engagement and shower gifts, send a \u201cthank you\u201d card out within 2-3 weeks. If you receive a gift before the wedding date, send a card ASAP and definitely before<\/em> the wedding.
