Before the duties of the actual wedding day, there are a host of other details that need to be handled by members of the wedding party: shopping, the shower, the bachelor party\u2026And of course, all the emotional support that\u2019s required. So here are some “do’s and don’ts” for members of the bridal party.<\/p>\n

MAID OF HONOR<\/strong><\/h3>\n

One of the big \u201cdo\u2019s\u201d for this important role is helping the bride shop for her dress. But remember that it\u2019s HER dress \u2013 so \u201cdon\u2019t\u201d push her to choose something that you<\/em> want her to wear. The thinking is similar when it comes to choosing bridesmaid\u2019s dresses. \u201cDo\u201d help find dresses that flatter the figures of each bridesmaid, and stay within their budgets. Also, help make fitting appointments.<\/p>\n

Another key duty for the maid of honor is to take the initiative in putting together the bridal shower (remember to invite the female members of the groom\u2019s family).<\/p>\n

On the wedding day, offer plenty of emotional support before the ceremony, adjust the bride\u2019s train and veil, hold the bouquet and offer a toast at the reception.<\/p>\n

BRIDESMAID<\/h3>\n
