Your first inclination may be to assume the worst when your boyfriend gets super protective of his cell phone, not letting you hold it on your own or at all and turning the screen away from you when you try to get a peek at it. But this doesn\u2019t necessarily mean there\u2019s someone else! If you trust your boyfriend \u2013 and if you don\u2019t trust him, then he\u2019s probably not someone you should\u00a0want<\/em>\u00a0to get married to \u2013 and you\u2019ve been together for some time and things feel serious, then he\u2019s probably just planning something BIG. He\u2019s Less Inclined to Spend Money Than Scrooge<\/strong><\/p>\n

Has your man never batted an eye in the past when you bought some new furniture, purchased a new car or booked a big vacation? Well, if he\u2019s generally been looser with his money than the \u201cGo\u201d square on a Monopoly board but suddenly starts hoarding it like he\u2019s Scrooge McDuck, then something is probably up. Diamond engagement rings are incredibly expensive, so he\u2019s probably trying to save every penny he can to afford one. Of course, it might still not be enough, which is why so many couples are turning to\u00a0high-quality cubic zirconia engagement rings<\/a>\u00a0and saving big money while still getting a ring that\u2019s every bit as gorgeous as the \u201creal thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

He\u2019s Been Acting Weird and\/or Nervous<\/strong><\/p>\n

Is he normally so cool that he makes cucumbers look hot but he\u2019s suddenly a nervous, fidgety, awkward mess? If so, then it\u2019s another sign that he may be planning to ask you the big question. Once a man knows that he\u2019s going to be bending a knee and asking the person he loves to spend the rest of their life with him, he becomes consumed by thoughts about it. It\u2019s a major step to take that will forever change his (and yours) life, and even if he\u2019s 99.9 percent certain you\u2019ll say yes, there\u2019s always that tiny chance you\u2019ll say no, and that he\u2019ll have to deal with that crushing rejection.
