Hopefully your spring wedding ends up being a little less April Showers and a little more like those May Flowers they bring.<\/p>\n<p>If you are getting married this spring, then you\u2019ve surely already organized most of your plans, but it\u2019s never too late to add a few finishing touches. We\u2019ve put together a list of what some wedding experts are predicting will be the biggest spring wedding trends this year. Consider implementing some of them into your wedding. Even if you\u2019re not getting married, check them out anyway for a peak at some of the spring-themed touches you can expect to see at weddings you attend this season.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Floral Prints<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The fashion industry seems to think that nothing says spring quite like flowers, and we can probably all agree with them on that one. The recent New York Bridal Fashion Week runways were filled with floral prints, virtually ensuring that they\u2019ll, fittingly, be the hottest pattern this season. Even if you\u2019re thinking of sticking with white for your dress, you can still work this trend into your wedding by having your bridesmaids wear happy posy prints. If you really want to go all in on this theme then you could even have your groom and groomsmen wear floral ties and pocket squares.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Watercolor Palettes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you like lighter colors, then you\u2019re going to absolutely love this season\u2019s color trend. Pastel watercolors are in, and you can work them into your wedding via decorations, place cards, envelope liners, wardrobes and more. Watercolors allow for multiple hues to harmoniously live together and form one cohesive design.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wild Garlands and Blooms<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s time to start blooming! Lemon leaves, green ivy garlands, seeded eucalyptus and the likes can make for a fresh look when added to aisles or tables. Another option is to go with forsythia, cherry blossoms or other flowering branches, which will increase the height of your reception tables and be conversation starters for guests. But don\u2019t stop there \u2013 sprinkle in some in-season fresh flowers like lilacs, tulips, sweet peas, hyacinths and peonies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Colored Gemstones<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not that colored stones weren\u2019t popular in the past (they were), but thanks to Kate Middleton\u2019s wowing sapphire, they\u2019ve recently become much more in demand.\u00a0 And although things have recently unfortunately taken a turn for the worst with Iggy Azalea\u2019s engagement, her yellow canary ring only further cemented the popularity of colored gems. Many brides are now foregoing center diamonds for rubies, sapphires, colored <a href=\"http:\/\/www.birkatelyon.com\/cubic-zirconia-rings\">high-quality cubic zirconia<\/a> and other options. If you still want that diamond engagement ring, another option is to go with colored gems on your wedding band or along the engagement ring\u2019s setting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Customized Invitations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You only get one chance at a first impression, and with weddings, that\u2019s your invitation. Take advantage of this opportunity to show off your own unique style either by going with a completely custom invitation style or by adding a personal touch or two to a templated design if a full customization is outside your budget. You can even add those little touches on your own by placing custom stamps or wax on the envelopes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ombr\u00e9 Lipstick<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you love lipstick and being yourself, then you\u2019ve picked the right season to get married or go to a wedding. Two-toned ombr\u00e9 is in right now. Just make sure that the tones you select are only a few shades apart, with the color starting darker at the center and subtly fading as it goes outwards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Buns and Ponytails<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many brides are going with a simple hairstyle this season: ballerina buns or sleek ponytails. These styles pull your hair back and allow your facial features to shine their brightest, and that\u2019s going to be particularly true if you go with some highlights.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sheer Details on Your Dress<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Little romantic details, illusion necklines and airy fabrics are a perfect match for a sunny spring day with a light breeze, so it\u2019s no surprise that these wedding dress touches are in right now. There is an incredible range of styles to choose from: sweet floral illusion necklines, bohemian with loose crystals, semi-see-through sexy lace corsets and more. Whatever you choose, it\u2019s going to come through like you\u2019re in an otherworldly dream when photographed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hunter\/Gatherer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Foodies are everywhere these days, especially weddings. That means ingredients that are in-season and locally sourced are increasingly making their way into wedding menu recipes. Consider taking the same approach to your cocktail hour, with drinks from local brewers and mixed drink ingredients from local suppliers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tall<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t worry \u2013 we\u2019re not suggesting you grow a couple inches. Instead, think about a taller cake, which can mean columns or towering naked cakes.
