Sometimes it seems like celebrities really do have it all: money, fame, exciting jobs, etc. But there\u2019s another great aspect of the celebrity life that often gets overlooked. Today we\u2019re talking about amazingly over-the-top celebrity proposals. And the good news is, in many ways, you can experience these types of proposals yourself. True, some of the opulent rings, extravagant getaways and impressive arrangements made by the stars are out of reach for the rest of us, but anyone can take a great idea and put their own twist on it.<\/p>\n

Here are eight of the most romantic celebrity proposals of all time. Give, and who knows? You might just find the inspiration you need to pull off your own dream proposal with a more affordable cubic zirconia engagement ring<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Happiest Place on Earth<\/strong><\/p>\n

It may just be a marketing tagline, but it\u2019s one of the most successful of all time, and for actress Sasha Clements, Disney really was the Happiest Place on Earth. High School Musical <\/em>star Corbin Bleu proposed to her out front of the iconic Cinderella\u2019s Castle at Walt Disney World in Orland, FL in October of 2014. Sticking with the Cinderella theme, Bleu put the engagement ring inside of a glass slipper before presenting it to her. Appropriately enough, Clements had recently starred in a Disney Channel production, How to Build a Better Boy<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Play Ball<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West don\u2019t really do low-key. We\u2019re pretty sure they don\u2019t even know what low-key is. Seemingly everything they do is in the spotlight and usually carried out in a manner that practically redefines the phrase \u201cover the top.\u201d So it was with their wedding at Florence, Italy\u2019s Forte di Belvedere castle. Before the wedding came the engagement: West rented out AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants to celebrate Kardashian\u2019s 33rd<\/sup> birthday in October 2013 and wrote \u201cPLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!\u201d on the big screen. Probably didn\u2019t hurt any that he also gave her a 15-carat diamond ring.<\/p>\n

Order\u2019s Up<\/strong><\/p>\n

George Clooney, formerly America\u2019s Most Eligible Bachelor finally got married last year in Italy. For the proposal that ended his single life, Clooney kept things toned down. He cooked Amal Alamuddin \u00a0a romantic dinner at his LA home and then simply got down on one knee and asked for her hand with a 7-carat diamond ring. So the extremely wealthy actor who so many associate with romanticism kept his engagement proposal down to Earth, and the girl of his dreams said yes \u2013 even though Clooney says she thought about it for almost half an hour before doing so.<\/p>\n

Big Ol\u2019 Jet Airliner<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rapper Ludacris definitely didn\u2019t stay as grounded for his proposal. In fact, he literally did it from a mile high, proposing to Eudoxie Agnan a few moments after the couple took off in his private jet in December 2014. Ludacris got down on one knee while directing her attention to the words \u201cEUDOXIE, WILL YOU MARRY ME\u201d projected onto the ground below. They were married just days later.<\/p>\n

Baby, It\u2019s Cold Outside<\/strong><\/p>\n

All the way back in 2004, Seal proposed to supermodel Heidi Klum with a 10-carat canary diamond ring, in what looked to be about 10-degree weather. The two took a helicopter flight to the Canadian Rockies where Seal had had an igloo built and filled with rose petals and candles, food and champagne.<\/p>\n

April Fool\u2019s<\/strong><\/p>\n

This one\u2019s less a story of an engagement than it is of a revealing of one. Rapper T-Pain let slip out in an interview with Vulture on April Fool\u2019s Day that Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs had gotten engaged before the couple had announced it. Realizing his faux pas, T-Pain tried to claim it was an April Fool\u2019s Day joke, but Twigs later confirmed the engagement and said the early slip wasn\u2019t a big deal to her because she\u2019s \u201ca pretty chill person.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wear the Ring Yourself<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s another laugher. A lot of people think Johnny Depp is a pretty odd guy, but when he was spotted wearing a woman\u2019s engagement ring, people thought it was weird even by Depp standards. “The fact that I’m wearing a chick’s ring on my finger is probably a dead giveaway. Not very subtle,” he said when asked about it. Apparently the ring was too big for now-wife Amber Heard, so Depp wore it himself for a spell.<\/p>\n

Go Wild<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s end on a more serious note. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge got engaged in October of 2010 while on a 10-day trip to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya. They had traveled there to celebrate Prince William\u2019s passing of his Royal Air Force Search and Rescue helicopter course.
